Mount Kilimanjaro Climb – The Umbwe Route provides the shortest route, and toughest, to the Southern Glaciers of Kilimanjaro and Western Breach of Kibo Peak. An ascent of Kibo by Umbwe Route is one of the finest non–technical climbing mountaineering. It is a challenging route, unsuitable for the solitary or for the inexperienced, and a route off the beaten track. Normally March, April and May are the months with long rains and should be avoided.
November is usually short rains but it is not often rains all the days so Climbing is possible.
The best Months for Kilimanjaro Climbing Umbwe Route are January, February and also August and September.
July can be colder and November to December can be wet.
January to February is the warmest months, almost clear of clouds each evening and morning.

Your day by day trip
Day 1: Arrive in Arusha:

We will gather in the evening at 5:30 pm for a pre-climb briefing and an equipment check.

Umbwe Gate to Umbwe Cave (at 3,000 m); 6-8 hours walking

Day 3: Umbwe Cave to Barronco (Full Board)

Umbwe Cave to Barranco valley (3,950 m); 4-6 hours walking.

Day 4: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp (Full Board)

Barranco Valley to Karanga camp (4,000 m): 4-5 hours walking.

Day 5: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp (Full Board)

Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp (4,600 m.): 3-4 hours walking.

DAY 7: Days Northern Circuit Route Kilimanjaro climb

Elevation: 12,700 ft to 15,600 ft
Distance: 5 km/3 miles

We climb steadily up and over the “Saddle,” which sits between Kibo and Mawenzi. We continue on to our camp, School Hut. Once here we rest, enjoy an early dinner to prepare for the summit day.

Useful tips
- Confirmation will be received at time of booking
- Adult pricing applies to all travelers 4 years old and up
- Please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes early Latecomers will not be reimbursed
- In case of bad weather, maintenance, or for safety reasons, the top level of the Eiffel Tower may be closed
- During peak times, the access to the venue can take some time to get through the security checkpoint
